As the caravan known as Warped Tour makes its way eastward towards the Atlantic, Atticus Clothing continues to leave it’s mark on the underbelly of America. Yesterday was Las Cruces, New Mexico which, first off, I was unaware that people even lived in and secondly that they have New Mexico State University there – who would have guessed!
After being in Phoenix the day before, Las Cruces was a refreshing breath of literal fresh air. We ended up set up nearly directly in front of the mainstage. Some would say this is a great location, but my ears would have to disagree with that. Despite my whining and nagging, we did have a great afternoon as A Skylit Drive stopped by to do a signing with some overly joyous fans. Take a peak!
Today we woke up to find ourselves in the biggest waste of space in the US – Texas. Not saying I don’t like it here….yes, yes I am. Anyways, we rolled in to San Antonio this morning to a brand new location that Warped has never played before which happens to be the venue where the San Antonio Spurs play at. Hello, David Robinson.
After seeing how crappy some venues treat their customers/kids, today was nice to see a venue take such good care of the fans. They had an entire cattle barn open for people to go in to and sit down and also provided them with free water. Nobody does that anymore these days, but it was great to see someone come through. This was much needed as the high today peaked at 106 degrees.
With complete disregard for the heat and pure love for their fans, both Emmure and In This Moment stopped by the tent this afternoon; much credit to all the fans that came out and stood in line in direct sunlight waiting to meet some of their favorite bands. In This Moment even stayed around to take pics with all the fans that had cameras with. Stand-Up guys and gal. Check out the pics.
Tomorrow we head even farther in to the heart of Texas, and make our next stop at Houston. Looking forward to another great day at Warped!
